Feinstein’s Reasonable Stance on Guns

Senator Diane Feinstein has parts of new gun control legislation ready to go. In December on NBC’s Meet the Press, Feinstein talked about giving President Obama a bill he can “lead on” and used the term assault weapon loosely.

Feinstein has posted a summary of what the legislation will cover, which inculdes a ban on semi-automatic handguns and shotguns in addition to rifles. The legislation also requires registration of previously purchased guns. If passed, ATF would be in charge of enforcement which should be a huge concern to gun owners.

Doesn’t/didn’t she pack a concealed weapon? What an idiot. Bats kill more people each year than guns.

  2. Daniel J. Fortune says:

Many people don’t know it, but there has been a incremental/progressive plan to disarm U.S. Citizens since 1961. This has come to near capacity with the UN Trade Arms Treaty that Republicans encouraged Obama to reject back in August, but I fear that the Sandy Hook shooting has allowed this administration to politicize the issue enough and sway public opinion just enough to finally take action. With VP Biden telling the mayor of Boston that he guarantees to get something done by the end of the month… things aren’t looking too good for us strict Constitutionalists.

I believe sweeping federal gun control laws will force many states to nullify the federal mandates. I believe the Feds won’t back down and it will lead to a few states talking of seceding from the union, and this will pave the way for civil war as UN troops are deployed to enforce peace during the disarmament process.
